Designing Memorable Learning Experiences
Do you wish that math teaching would have been better designed in school when you grew up?
In our everyday life, good UI design helps us convert ideas into actions. When thinking about it, UI has a monumental impact on the things we do and how we do them. As we are writing this job ad, we try to use tools that minimise distraction and improve focus so that we can communicate a clear message and hopefully reach out to the right person. Part-time or full-time position in Lund, Sweden.
We are a small indie studio located in the heart of Lund, surrounded by cobblestone streets, coffee shops and a smell of fresh bagels in the morning. As a tight 10 person team, we work closely and share perspectives from our different backgrounds and cultures, bringing game design, tech, design and learning psychology to the table.
THE ROLE – UI Artist
We would like to invite a UI artist to join our team to design user interfaces that invite children to interact, learn and have fun. In this role, you will be working together with instructional designers from behavioural sciences, fellow artists and game developers to create intuitive and fun UI to the upcoming math learning adventure Count on me!
Our product development is iterative and we rely heavily on rapid prototyping for testing new designs and evaluating possible learning outcomes. We work closely with partner schools to get real user feedback from our target groups that consist of 7-9-year-old children and their respective parents and teachers.
- UI design, from paper prototypes to finished designs
- UI animation
- Shaping the overall visual user experience together with the product team
- Professional experience working with UI for child users
- Good understanding of design and animation principles for children
- Experience working with Unity game engine is a plus
- User experience design skills are a plus
